I started Fluent Software (as we were originally named) back in 2013 because I wanted to bring my perspectives on software development to a larger audience.
I’ve always loved the ability to create something from nothing – I started writing software as a hobby from a young age.
This interest along with a desire to gain both a depth and breadth of experience, led me to work for a variety of software development companies in the UK, ranging from early-stage start-ups to global organisations.
In every role, I’d always be analysing how the company operated, what worked well, what didn’t, what more I could learn and how I could share my knowledge to help them.
My analytical approach to product development meant I began to understand the many common problems that most organisations have, regardless of their size and how I could fix them. I realised that it is not enough to just fix the problems – sustainable change comes from empowering the company’s teams with this knowledge too.
In 2019, we rebranded as Fluent Forward as I wanted to take the company’s services to the next level, helping software development teams and individuals reach their full potential in order to help businesses thrive.
